LJC's new feature film Screenplay
by Pidge Jobst and David Shapiro
A love story between a boy and his dog.

"Bo, the Everglades Racer" feature fi lm
Adventure / Coming of Age / Love Story
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting David Shapiro -- a gifted story-teller who had a great concept and True Story for a feature film. David had come across a 1932 Milwaukee Sentinel Newspaper about a racing dog that had been kidnapped by mobsters and painted black, becoming a racetrack leaderboard winner throughout Britain under the guise name of "Black Astor."
David asked me to write a screen-
play based on the story, and upon some
persistence on his part, I began the
outlining of this wonderful full-length
feature film. A year later, and after
taking some helpful classes under
the tutelage of screenwriting instructor,
John Jarrell ("Romeo Must Die",
Universal's "Man with the Iron Fist 2"),
the 111 page screenplay, "Bo, the
Everglades Racer" was born. Grief, loss,
need for family, and our connectedness
with all of life are its spined themes.
Greyhound big finish!
